Chair comes with silent and smooth movement. The chair reaches close to the ground, which enables the patient to get onto the chair easily. An OPG is a panoramic or wide view x-ray of the lower face, which displays all the teeth of the upper and lower jaw on a single film.
It demonstrates the number,position and growth of all the teeth including those that have not yet surfaced or erupted.
It is different from the small close up x-rays dentists take of individual teeth.
An OPG may also reveal
1. Problems with the jawbone and the joint which connects the jawbone to
the head, called the Temporomandibular joint or TMJ.
2. An OPG may be requested for the planning of orthodontic treatment,
3. For assessment of wisdom teeth
4. For a general overview of the teeth and the bone which supports the teeth
5. To know the amount of root formation and the eruption levels of permanent teeth.

The carestream 8100 OPG machine is designed to make positioning of patients quick and simple. It is easily accessible for patients sitting, standing and in wheelchairs.
Sharp and high quality images are taken in CS 8100. It minimizes the spinal column shadows and produces digitally sharp images that are ready to review almost immediately. High frequency generator ensures radiation remains constant for optimal contrast.

The time taken for an OPG x ray will be between 11 to 14 seconds.

The new X-Mind DC generator is filled with a Toshiba DG-073B-DC double anode tungsten tube (intensity of 4mA and 8mA) that generates a constant voltage of 60 kV or 70 kV. It operates at high frequencies and constant potential which enables very high quality radiation to be emitted, whatever the conditions of use. The choice of voltage (60 or 70kV) and intensity (4 or 8 mA) enable optimal diagnosis of intraoral X-rays with a 35% reduction in exposure time, compared with monophased units. The timer can control up to two DC generators. The extremely short exposure times (minimum 0.02 sec) are suitable for digital radiology with CCD, CMOS or phosphur plate sensor (radiation is 50% less than that used with “E” type films).

The heat pluggers maximize condensation forces on the softened obturation material without placing undue stress on the root canal system. Therefore it is one of the most needed equipments for successful endodontic therapy.

The dental lasers from GIGAALASER is the most reasonable but advanced laser available for soft tissue dental applications, the special wavelength has high absorption in water and haemoglobin combines precise cutting properties with immediate coagulation. With 10KHz frequency, it can cut the soft tissue very fast and smoothly with less blood and less pain than ordinary dental surgery device.
